WatchArtExchange (WAE)

WARRANTY

 

All watch sales and repairs have a 1 year warranty.

​

Customers are responsible for contacting WatchArtExchange upon receiving their watch at watchartexchange@gmail.com for

use and maintenance of their watch and warranty.  Unpaid invoices permanently void warranty after 30 days.

​

Damage to a watch due to accident, neglect or mistreatment is not covered by this warranty. Also not included is the loss or theft of the watch or any damage done by loss or theft. Damage caused by fire, pressure, water, or natural disaster is not covered. This warranty does not cover any water damage—including, but not limited to crystal fogginess, movement damage, dial or bezel damage, seals, gaskets, liquid penetration and any issues pertaining to water.  In the event that the watch is not covered by the warranty, then there

is a minimal charge which includes shipping expenses and a processing fee (opening and examining the watch, testing, replacement of

gaskets if necessary, etc.). 

 

Repairs, alterations, tampering, substitution and/or addition of parts, custom work and/or modification of any kind done without prior written consent from WAE and not performed by WAE will void this warranty. This warranty replaces the original manufacturers warranty.

WAE liability limited to the quoted appraisal price before work begins.  Liability is limited to $10,000 per watch unless specifically agreed upon by the customer and WAE.

 

All WAE warranties are non-transferable.

RETURNS POLICY

​

7 Days 100%  Refund All Watches.

We all make mistakes.  No problem.

All watches sold by WatchArtExchange come with a 7 days return policy provided the watch has not been worn and is in its original condition.  Return period is subject to change at time of sale and must be agreed upon by both buyer and seller in writing.

Does your jewelry store give you 7 days for a full refund, or like a car dealership, you own it once once you drive it off the lot!

You won't find these watches anywhere else in this condition.

CUSTOM DUTIES & TAXES

​

  • The Buyer pays ALL import duties, taxes, and fees… These charges are your responsibility

  • Packages must clear customs and this will take a few days.

  • Most countries charge customs duties, taxes, and fees on items being imported from the USA. You are responsible to know your Country’s importing laws and taxes.

  • Import duties, taxes, and fees are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

SALES TAX

If sales and/or use tax is not collected at the time of purchase by WAE, you may be required to file and pay the sales and/or use tax directly to the state and/or local tax authorities for which the item was shipped to. Some states require purchasers in that state to report all non-taxed purchases of taxable items and pay tax on those purchases. For more information, we recommend that you consult with your tax advisor.

SHOP

We are exclusively an online company and don't allow walk-ins.

WatchArtExchange  is a selling platform, and only takes possession of the watch at time of sale.

WatchArtExchange does not own any watches or goods on our site until time of sale.

All sales are subject to availability.  Money will be refunded if product is unavailable.

Prices and terms are subject to change until time of sale.

Information contained in any quotation or listing or which are given to you by WatchArtExchange’s agents or employees constitutes an invitation to treat but does not constitute an offer by WatchArtExchange to supply products and/or services. All communications, including photos, are the property of WatchArtExchange unless otherwise agreed upon.  All efforts will be made to keep identities private unless permission is granted.  By placing an order, you are making an offer to WatchArtExchange to purchase the products and/or services.  Any order shall be subject to acceptance by WatchArtExchange and WatchArtExchange may decline any order in whole or in part, for any lawful reason whatsoever.  If WatchArtExchange accepts your order, WatchArtExchange will notify you of its acceptance by sending an order confirmation.  All communications, including photos, are the property of WatchArtExchange unless otherwise agreed upon.

All repairs are outsourced to Simon and he takes all responsibility for the repairs.

All repairs are subject to the possibility of repair.  If the watch cannot be repaired then the money will be refunded.

If additional work or parts are needed for the repair, then the customer will be notified.  Additional work and parts will be

billed separately.  Parts and labor are sourced worldwide and guaranteed authentic.

We are a small boutique dedicated to high level repair and restoration of your watch.  Simon is only one person and is vital to repairing everyone's watch.  Simon's time is precious and it is not fair to our other customers in answering an endless list of emails.  We therefore limit the number of emails per customer per watch to 10 unless otherwise agreed upon.  Additional emails will be charged $10 per email.  This will be added to your final bill.  This seems fair to everyone.  Thank you.

All repair work, whether partial or complete, are the responsibility of the customer.

We strive to complete our repairs in 14 days.  Some watches are more complicated and take longer than 14 days to repair.

Please bear in mind that companies like Omega, Rolex and Patek may take many weeks to perform repairs.

The customer agrees to give WatchArtExchange at least 14 days notice, in writing, to return their watch, even if not completed.

The customer agrees to pay for all repair work within 30 days of completion, unless otherwise agreed upon.  If no payment is made, then the watch may be sold to pay for labor and expenses.

Payment requests are made any time after the repair costs are agreed upon to defray expenses, not necessarily upon completion.

WatchArtExchange liability is limited to the agreed value of the watch before shipping to us.  The customer accepts a replacement of the lost or damaged watch with one of equal value or the agreed upon price before shipping, whichever is less, at the discretion of WatchArtExchange.

WAE liability limited to the quoted appraisal price before work begins.  Liability is limited to $10,000 per watch unless specifically agreed upon by the customer and WAE.  Sentimental value cannot be replaced.

Coverage is limited to the amount specified upon signing up, and is also limited to the actual value of the watch (not any number inputted).  Maximum that our insurance will cover is $10,000.00 or the replacement value whichever is lower.    All Replica or Fake watches have a maximum value of $100.00

SHIPPING

​

Shipping is provided by WAE Shipping Company LLC. 

WatchArtExchange is not responsible for shipping.

Supplemental shipping insurance can be provided by WAE Shipping Company LLC at customer's request.

Shipping to customers is free, but does not include insurance.

Insurance up to $50,000 available upon request at customer's expense.

Shipping insurance does not cover sentimental value.

 

FedEx terms and conditions apply.  Claims are the responsibility of the customer.  WatchArtExchange will be held harmless.

USPS terms and conditions apply.  Claims are the responsibility of the customer.  WatchArtExcahnge will be held harmless.

Customer hereby acknowledges and agrees that WAE will not purchase or
maintain any insurance covering the Watch or the shipping of the Watch, unless requested by
Customer. If Customer requests any such insurance, then WAE will
purchase such insurance from the carrier on Customer’s behalf and Customer shall be
responsible for the payment or reimbursement of the cost thereof. WAE will reasonably
cooperate, at Customer’s cost and expense, in connection with any efforts by Customer to collect
any insurance proceeds. Customer acknowledges and agrees that WAE’s purchase of any such
insurance shall not be deemed to create or impose any liability on WAE relating to such
insurance or claims thereunder.

 

THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONNECTICUT LAW, AND NO CONFLICT OF LAWS OR PROVISIONS OF ANY JURISDICTION WILL APPLY TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. BY USING THIS WEBSITE, YOU AGREE THAT ANY ACTION AT LAW OR IN EQUITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL BE FILED ONLY IN STATE OR FEDERAL COURT LOCATED IN CONNECTICUT, AND YOU HEREBY IRREVOCABLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY CONSENT AND SUBMIT TO THE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION OF SUCH COURTS OVER ANY SUIT, ACTION, OR PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
