ABOUT US

We call ourselves WatchArtExchange because we are watchmakers that believe watches are a form of art and we offer a platform to exchange your purchase for another.

We are a team of watch artisans that include our Master Watchmaker Simon who is responsible for the overall restoration of watches.  We have a dial expert with 40 years of expertise.  He has a library of thousands of original dials to restore any watch to the original factory specifications.  We have a goldsmith to expertly restore any watch to its original condition, not by grinding away the surface, but by actually adding gold to the watch.  He can do the same with stainless steel.  Our artisans have been restoring watches for jewelry stores for decades.  When a customer trades in their used watch, it's almost impossible to sell because of tear and wear.  We restore watches both vintage and new to their original factory condition.  Our jewelers can resell the watches for much more profit.

There is a great deal of confusion about watches.  The self-proclaimed experts say to never touch a vintage watch, because then it won't be original and lose value.

This is partly true.

Most watchmakers don't have the expertise to restore a watch to original condition.

WatchArtExchange is the only place we know that can restore your watch to original condition, whether it's an 1800 pocket watch or a 1950's Rolex.

Please watch the video below "Watch Advisor" to learn about used watches.

It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words.

This is not true with watches.  Unless you know what you're looking for,

you could be wasting thousands of dollars.

Buyer beware.

Modern watches are machine made.  A new Rolex or Omega on your wrist is exactly the same as the Rolex or Omega on your friend's wrist.  The manufacturers can make great profits.

A Rolex submariner that sells for $15000 only costs $1500 to manufacture.

Vintage watches were handmade.  Each was unique.

The result is that there is no money in repairing or restoring your watch.  Rolex, Omega, and even Patek no longer have the knowledge or expertise to repair or restore your watch.  The best they can do is throw new parts into your watch if they have them.

WatchArtExchange was created to give the public access to traditional watch making.

There are millions of used watches that need repair or restoration at our high level.

WatchArtExchange is also a selling platform for our jeweler partners.  It is an Exchange in the

purest sense with a flexible asking price and bidding price, just like the Stock Market.

Jewelry stores have expenses and they sometimes are forced to sell.

Don't be afraid to make an offer, you never know.

We enjoy vintage because they are rare.

In perfect condition, a vintage watch is stunning.

Many of our customers are lawyers and business executives that

wish to impress their clients.

We have watches for everyone at every price level, all beautiful.

This is the true value of a watch.  It is a fashion statement.

We have partnered with our jewelry stores to bring you the very best in watchmaking.

Many of our pieces are from long ago, beautiful, and quite rare.

Our team wish you all the best and hope you find the perfect watch or

restore your current watch to perfection.

Respectfully,

WatchArtExchange Team
